Communication
Communication is central to a child’s learning, wellbeing, and independence. We work with each student to develop communication skills using methods tailored to their individual strengths, including speech, key word sign, visuals, and AAC systems.
Our multimodal approach means staff model communication strategies consistently and build communication into all daily routines and learning areas. Whether in the classroom, on the playground, or during group activities, every interaction is an opportunity to practise communicating, expressing needs, and forming meaningful connections.
By supporting each child’s unique communication style, we help them feel understood, confident, and connected in their world.
