Why choose us
School vision
At Arranounbai our vision is to develop each individual to reach their true potential. Arranounbai will prepare students with lifelong learning/life skills through the delivery of positive and engaging educational experiences in a supportive and innovative environment, enabling them to achieve the best outcomes for independent success.
Every student in our school is known, valued and cared for and will be nurtured to develop an awareness of and take responsibility for their individual learning goals and progress.
"Having my child at Arranounbai has been an integral part of his growth and education. The environment feels genuinely collaborative — the teachers and staff all work together with families to help each child thrive. I feel seen, supported, and included in Manny’s learning journey, which gives me great confidence in how he’s progressing both academically and personally.
They truly understand him as an individual — they celebrate his strengths, nurture his challenges, and meet him where he’s at. It’s more than a school; it’s a community that believes in possibility, and I couldn’t be happier knowing my child is growing up in such a thoughtful, caring space.” — a parent of Arranounbai School
Autism Intervention Support
This program offers students with Autism Spectrum Disorder a gradual transition to mainstream schools over two years, supported by experienced staff. Students begin by attending Arranounbai School four days a week and a mainstream school one day a week, gradually increasing mainstream attendance. Classes are limited to seven students for individualised learning focused on communication, social skills, emotional regulation, behaviour, and curriculum goals. Support includes positive reinforcement, social stories, and calming strategies to build confidence. Twice-yearly review meetings ensure coordinated efforts among support services to help students successfully transition and achieve their goals within the program’s two-year timeframe.
Essential for Living
At Arranounbai, we are proud to offer an inclusive education program that integrates the NSW and Australian curriculum with the Essential for Living (EFL) program. EFL program is designed to support students in developing vital functional skills that help them succeed within the school environment and in the wider community. These skills include making requests, accepting “no” and following instructions, which are the foundation of building independence and supporting social interactions
Our dedicated EFL room is designed to foster functional skill development and promote student independence. Within this supportive environment, students engage in practical activities such as, picking up, sorting and packing away items, hanging clothes, vacuuming and completing both one-step and multi-step instructions. Through consistent practice of these tasks, students build confidence and the capabilities that empower them to navigate daily life.
